Overview
Once the wind monitoring campaign has been completed and the wind resource confirmed, a wind farm needs to be careful designed and engineered to maximise its potential. The characteristics of the site must be considered to ensure the correct equipment is selected, the layout has to be a balance between construction considerations and maximum production, the balance of plant must be defined and operating and maintenance strategies need to be developed.
Even if we have not carried out the wind monitoring campaign and initial analysis, we are more than happy to undertake the design, engineering and construction of a project, whether as a design - equipment supply - part construction arrangement or as a complete Engineering - Procurement - Construction project. We can formulate operating and maintenance plans, develop and train local resources for support, monitor operational status of turbines 24/7 and ensure that the customer's investment is maintained to the highest standard and availability. Our experience in remote and environmentally hostile locations, as well as emerging wind markets has given us a thorough understanding of the requirements and challenges to service and operate small and large wind turbines in places with minimal or no suitable infrastructure for wind turbine support.
